I have a problem that hopefully someone can help point me in the right
direction. I just completed the repair of my win-xp OS. When I attempt to
take reboot the computer I get a blue-screen-of-death and an abend in the
module 'Symevent.sys' The stop error is always: 0x0000008E and the offending
module is always Symevent.sys Any help would be appreciated.

Symevent is part of some Symantec software. Uninstall/reinstall it
and/or check on the Symantec web site.

Thanks Rock, I went to their website and found an update which I applied. I
am still having the same problem. If I uninstall just the Symevent.sys and
all of it's files it renders Norton 2002 useless. I have sent them an e-mail
and I will see how long it tajes for them to respond. Thanks again . . . .
