Problem with sound after bring computer out of Standby or Hibernation

Ed,,

Hi,

Every time I use the hibernation or standby features and then turn on
my PC again for re-use all the sound and video from my PC are played
at high speed (4 or 5 times normal speed at least). This applies to
all the sounds from the windows mouse 'click' to playing files on WMP
or Realplayer etc.

The problem is fixed by a reboot, but this kinda defeats the whole
point of using the standby feature!

I am running Windows XP Home SP1 (the problem also occured before I
installed SP1) on a Packard Bell Imedia 4506. The problem
has been with me since day one, but has not bothered me before as I
have only just started using the shutdown features.

Can anyone help ?
Thanks
Ed,,

It would seem that the drivers and hardware don't come back from a deep
sleep very well. The folks to troubleshoot this one are over at the
Packard Bell site.
