Problem with some secured sites

Hi,

I use IE6 on Window XP home edition on my laptop and
everything was fine until about 3 weeks ago.
I started getting "The page cannot be displayed" messages
on some secured sites such as paypal.com, chase.com and
dataviz.com. It is frustrating not be able to make
purchases and download my credit card statement. I then
restored my laptop to factory build contents from the
emergency recovery disks. This should have cleared out
all the spywares and viruses I might have installed
previously. I still have problem with those sites. I
then downloaded all the latest window updates and still
have the same problem. Any idea what I may try next.
