Problem with setting a wireless connection between2computers(Ad ho

I wondered if anyone could help, at my wits end!

Trying to set up wireless network between two computers (running windows XP)
so they can share files and the Internet. However at the moment it is very,
very temperamental. I managed to get them communicate and share the Internet
at one point, but since I restarted one of the computers I have not been able
to repeat it.

They keep picking up each other, but don't actually set a working network
up. Also settings seem to change themselves sometimes. Has anyone had any
similar problems or can help?

I know the two work together because they were tested before on a different

I too am having a similar problem, although I have tried to post this
inquiry on the "Discussion Group", no success. I am wondering, if your
problem is similar to mine?

I have a notebook wireless, and a PC attached to a router physically, both
have internet access, etc. But, only the desktop (PC) can see the notebook
and not the other way around. The notebook doesn't see the network - and it
can not see anything except itself?

Are you experiencing the same thing?

Hey,

I not sure if the problem is similar, as I'm not using a router. Both
computers have at some point simultaneously seen each other (as in registered
a signal), but not set up a network. Today I haven't managed to get a
successful connection.

Are you running XP on the PC and what protocol are you using (I’m using Ad
hoc)?
