Problem with seeing both computers on networking

I'm using dsl line into dsl modem then thru netgear router and into both
computers. When I go to My Network Places I only see the computer I'm on and
not other too. Its the same when IO look at the other computer. I receive a
message that I might now have permission to see the other computer - see my
administrator. I am the administrator on both machines. Anybody have some
ideas for me to try??

Check for misconfigured / overlooked firewalls.

If no help, provide "browstat status" and "ipconfig /all" from each computer.
