Problem with screen resolution

I've successfully put Vista (Beta2) on a spare notebook. At the moment
however I can only get Vista to run if I hit F8 and select 'low resolution'
on start up. As soon as I select anything other than 640x480, 8 bit, 60Hz I
get a black screen.

The display card is an SIS 650_651_M650_M652_740.

If I plug in an external CRT monitor as primary display I get full
functionlity for it....

Sounds like a lack of proper video driver at first glance. Check with the
vendor for that. In the meantime, hopefully the monitor isn't too heavy to
carry.
