Problem with saving MSKB articles in .mht format

Using Windows XP Pro and IE6.

I have no problem saving MSKB pages as .htm files but I cannot save them as
..mht. An error message box appears saving that the file would not be saved
properly and pressing the OK button terminates the save operation. On the
other hand, all other Web pages can be saved as .mht as well as .htm. Can
someone help?

I also would like to know how I can make IE6 use .mht file format as its
default.

Common problem with the new format in the MS Knowledge Base. No fix for
this as far as I know.
