Problem with SAM on a domain controller

P

Pirillo

Hi

I've a domain (master) and a domain controller under windows 2000 server. If
i create a new user from the master it works well and the new user is
correctly replicate on the domain controller (wich is a global catalog)
If i create a new user on the domain controller the system generate two
errors SAM 12293 in event viewer like "There are two or more object with the
same SID attribute:The attribute Distname is ......." The frst error refers
to the new user and the other refers to an old user in SAM database.
Is it possibile to transfer or recplicate the database from the master to
the domain controller ? I dont' have any synchronization error in event
viewer.

Is it possibile to rebuild the active directiry structrure in domain
controller taking information from the master ?

If i delete the SAm database and restart the domain controller the database
will be recreate with correct s domain informations ?

Thanks to all

What exaclty do you mean by "master"? Domain controllers do not use SAM database for storing user objects, they use Active Directory database instead.
