Problem with reply notofication

Hello

For the past few weeks in this and the other WinXP groups, when I get an
e-mail notofication of a reply, instead of going straight to the post, I get
the main page of the group I posted in and I have to search for 'n' find my
post to see what the reply is. Anyone else having the same problem?

The problem is that you are using the web interface to these groups
which is the worst way to access them. Since you are using the web
interface, you may not realize that this is really a newsgroup. You
will get far more out of this resource if you learn to use a
newsreader. There are many good newsreaders for Windows, but you can
use Outlook Express since you already have it. Here are some links to

Hello, Seems to do this once in a while. Do not know why. For me yesterday
worked ok.
Do appreciate the e-mail notification and the ease of using the search engine.

You're quite right, but the information I gave you wasn't meant to
troubleshoot the web interface. I, like the other MVP's and regulars
who help out in the newsgroups, don't ever use the web interface so
can't help you with it.

I'm sorry I was unable to help you. Perhaps someone else who uses the
web interface to the newsgroups has an answer for you.
