Problem with playing video from WMM6 for Vista (wmv9 advanced prof

I have been editing my homemade videos in WMM2.1 and an XP computer for some
time with good results. I export the files as .wmv that I can play in my new
MX760HD TV-player that I connect directly to my TV. The wmv files are very
good and dont take much space.

Recently I got a new computer with Vista and WMM6. Then I can only publish
the movie as "wmv9 advance profile" this file I can not play in my X760HD
TV-player. I can not eather play AVI files larger than 2GB. The old Windows
Media Player can not even play the new wmv file properly (half the screen is
green).

What can I do? Is it not possible to get WMV9 files without the advanced
profile. I have not seen any reference to this in the media. Somebody must
have had this same prioblem.
