Problem with PartitionMagic 8.0

B

Bill

After using PartitionMagic 8.0 on second drive to merge four logical disks
into two (e: and f: to e; and g: and h: to g:) the drives cannot be
accessed. I get a "drive not formatted" message when I attempt to open them.
Windows 2000 professional sp 4. PartitionMagic configuration report
follows. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Bill

That's bad! The partinfo looks valid, that is no partition table errors, and
appearantly intact boot sectors, so no help there.
To one partition no drive letter is assigned, I doubt assigning one will
help, won't hurt to try though.

I have seen cases where the NTFS partitions sould still be accessed using
the free read-only NTFSDOS driver from www.sysinternals.com although Windows
claimed that the partitions needed formatting.

If that doesn't work you'll need specialized data recovery software like
iRecover (www.diydatarecovery.nl) to pull data of the partitions.
