Problem with opening pdf attachments

I downloaded the recommended update for Outlook Express 6.
As a result, I am now unable to open pdf attachments, only
word and jpg files.

Does anyone know how I can please fix this problem?

Go into tools - options - or account settings and set up
your allowances/permissions for .pdf files -
 
did you try to unistall and install, the IE 6 change some
dll files that modified the program PDF you have to instal
a new version of that program
