problem with network card

Hi!

I´ve got a weird problem with my network...

Situation is:

Two Windows2000 computers, with 10/100 RJ45 netzworkcards,
connected over a 10 MBit-Hub.

Computer 1 has normal access to Computer 2, speed
while copying is normal.

Computer 2 has normal access to Computer 1,too, but
speed while copying is REALLY slow (~120 mins for 40 MB)

AND:
There is no problem when i use the other NIC (10Mbit-RJ45/BNC-Combi)
in Computer 2 instead of the

10/100-RJ45 NICs are switched to AutoMode (duplex).
10Mbit-RJ45/BNC-Combi is switched to 10Half.
Changing Duplex modes does not solve the problem.

The hub can´t be the problem?!?

Now, where could the problem???

Please help me!

Greetings,
Markus.

Sounds like you have a problem nic if replacing it solves the problem. I
have seen on my home network where a computer could receive fine but not
send well. I changed the nic and the problem went away. -- Steve

Hi!
You´re nearly right :)
Meanwhile I found a solution:
I de- and reinstalled the nic, and
now it works fine.

Strange, but it´s often that way...

Thanks anyway,
Markus.
