Can anyone help?
I have bought a laptop with XP media center edition (with wifi)and I want to
connect my mobile Nokia 6800 thru a cable (DKU-5) as my mobile does not have
Bluetooth and use as a modem whilst traveling.
I am told by Nokia tech dept that my mobile will not talk with media center
edition (only home/pro) they also say that no Nokia phone will work with MCE.

Have anyone experienced this or know of a work around with this problem ?

What they are actually saying is, "*We* don't support media center." and
they are saying this out of ignorance.

Windows XP Media Center is Windows XP Professional without the innate
ability to join a domain and with the media center components. That's it.

Therefore - you should be able to use any software that's made for Windows
XP Professional (barring domain requirements) and definitely Windows XP Home
Edition software should not be a problem - as you have all of those features
and more. They really did nothing more than showed their ignorance if they
said their software supported Windows XP Home and Windows XP Professional -
but not Media Center - since it has all the abilities of Windows XP Home
Edition and most of the abilities of Professional. They just don't want to
bother with it.
