Problem with Microsoft Query

Dear All

I have a formula-driven Excel database and would like to
extract information from it on a regular basis (emailable
statements). I have tried to use Microsoft Query for
this but am getting the message "The Query Wizard cannot
continue because it cannot join the tables in your
query. You must join the tables manually in Microsoft
Query by dragging the fields to join between the
tables"!!! I think I am only using one table, although I
am only selecting the first block of columns.

I don't understand. If anyone can help or suggest an
website, I would be eternally grateful.

Regards

Peter

You think you're only using one table but MQ thinks differently and since it's
the one in charge I think it's thinking correctly :-)
I would recommend viewing (and likely modifying) the SQL behind the query to
see what's up. You'll be looking at the FROM clause to see which table(s) the
data is coming from. If this is all Greek to you then I recommend finding
someone local, who knows SQL, to help you. This kind of stuff can be
difficult to assist via email/news.
