Problem with Microsoft Office Outlook

James

Hi,
I have a problem opening up Microsoft Office Outlook 2007.

When I try opening the program, the following error message shows up.

"Cannot start microsoft Office Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window. The
set of folders cannot be opened. The file
C:\Users\James\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst is not a personal
folders file.

Any help regarding this issue would be really helpful.
Thank you.

Try the Inbox Repair Tool (scanpst.exe located in %ProgramFIles%\Microsoft
Office\Office12). If that doesn't work, then you'll need to restore a backup
copy. You di make backups of your PST, don't you?

P.S. It's just a pity MS do not offer direct support anymore.

Support is free for 90 days starting with the first call when you purchase a
new product.
