Outlook 2007 will not start

I turned on my Outlook 2007 and here is what I got:

"Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window. The
set of folders cannot be opened. The file C:\Documents and
Settings\Jack\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst
is not a personal folders file."

What should I do.

Thank you all.

Thanks for the suggestion. I fixed the problem using scanpst.exe, which is
in the Office12 folder. I found the information at:

Thanks again. JRL

You should use a recent backup. You've done something that appears to
have damaged the existing PST. What happened the last time you used the
PC?
