Problem with menu dialog boxes in Excel

I have a problem with the excel install on my machine. I have tried to
un install and re install and I still get the same result. Basically
all of the dialog boxes have white backgrounds and basically look out
of sorts. The rest of the dialog boxes in Office are ok, just excel -
it's driving me mad. When I start things in safe mode, everything is
ok. There is no .xlb file on my pc and I do not have anythin in
XLSTART - any idea ?

You will have an *.xlb and that could be the issue. It is a hidden file so
you will need to search for it using that switch.

You might also look to see how your temp directory is. Empty it and just
have a general tidy. (If you are using WinXP then there is a tool for this
under system tools)
