Problem with MediaPlayer

Hello everybody,

For some reason MS Windows media player doesn't work anymore. When I try to
launch it I just get a beep and nothing happens, no error message, nothing.

Shouldn't be virus because I think I am well "protected".

Please be so kind as to let me know what I should check, and, if necesary
how could I suppress Mediaplayer in order to re-install it.

Go to Start > Run and in the Run box copy, then paste, the following:

"C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\setup_wm.exe"

Then hit the Enter key to reinstall Windows Media Player.
