Problem with live messenger and Pre RC1

HI

I have install pre RC1 last week (with my CPP beta2 key)

And download live messenger with link provided in vista start menu

But live messenger always fail to connect to MS servers so not able to login
for the service
Error is 81000306
I have no problem with IE7 and my antivirus updates
Login and password are the good ones.

It live messenger 8.0.812
So any ideas?

I have exactly the same problem, if any knows of a solution other than using
web messenger it would be greatly appreciated.

I found a solution:
add these 2 lines to C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts file and you ll
be able to sign in
65.54.239.80 messenger.hotmail.com
65.54.239.80 dp.msnmessenger.skadns.net

Right now ive got a real solution, youll love me for this.
Im guessing you have a Netgear wireless router?
If so update the firmware from the Netgear website and your all set

I have the same problem with a Linksys Router WAG200G.

Any suggestions ? :|
