Problem with DVDRW drive.

Brian Southall

Have recently been experiencing problems with my Emprex DVD +/- RW Drive.
The drive is able to read Audio CDs, DVD's and DVD-ROM's but every-time I
put a blank DVD-RW or DVD+RW disc in the drive it changes to read CD drive.
The details for the blank discs, new out of the packet, then read 0 bytes
free and total size 0 bytes which is totally baffling me. Is there anything
I can do to stop this from happening and allow writing to the DVD-RW or
DVD+RW discs. I must add, these same discs will record and playback on my
television DVD-Recorder so I don't think it is a problem with the discs
themselves. Can anyone help????

XP does not have the ability to burn to a DVD disk by itself so you need
third party DVD burning software such as Roxio or Nero.
