Does it possible to define was a downloaded data.cab file damaged or
not? There was no MD5 checksum for this data supplied. Download speed
was small but stable, but after 98% there were some strange
delay(missing paper from globe and missing 'estimated time left'), but
I still got the file.
The file size was a little bit smaller than it size in web directory(on
web directory size is 157M). The size of file on my hardrive is
155720kB, and in file 'properties' (in Right click) size shown
152MB(159457274 bytes)
Is there a chance that some packets has been lost during transmission?

the checksum is used to validate
the integrity of the file downloaded
on the hd to the one at the server.

if they don't match, then your download
is corrupt.

try to use one of those download managers
like "free download manager"....

It elaborate on my response. There is no way to know if something was lost,
though the fact that the file size on your drive is somewhat less is
suspicious. If you give the name of the file maybe someone has had
experience with it and can give a better opinion. Other than that, download
it again.

I dont want permanently re-download huge 150MB file to solve problem..
I downloaded it twice - without success, the same thing: under reaching
~98% a transferring process ended(like normal downloads) and I get an
incomplete(?) file. Transfer rate stable, near 15-20kB/s. I downloaded
without using download managers. So i just want to clarify is this
possible web server problem or the original file is just damaged.

No way anyone can say. Send an email to the web site about it.

Finally, I was able to download this file, use download manager.. When
download reached 99%, it pauses again. Clicking "Resume" not help, but
when I clicked "Pause" and then 'Resume", DM connected and got
remaining part.

Interesting that it keeps on stopping at that one point. So this final
download came through ok? That's great, given the frustration from not
getting a good download.
