problem with domain user in local admin group

I dont know if anyone has seen this before, but it is new to me. Due to
certain applications needing to run correctly, users need to be local admins,
but when I put their domain accounts into the local admin group, it takes
away some functionalities. One thing they cant do is attach a file to email.
There are other little things that dont work also, but as soon as I take
their domain account out of the local admin group, all is well again. Any
ideas?

I haven't seen this myself, frankly....but you haven't mentioned specific
error messages or given us much to work with.

Have you tried using FileMon and RegMon from www.sysinternals.com to see
what these applications need "write" access to, in order to change the
file/registry settings so that non-admins can run the software? That's where
I'd want to start.
