I recently cloned my existing hard drive, via Drive Image 7.0, to a new
larger disk. The new disk boots WIndows XP Pro just fine. However, when
I try to log into any account the usual start-up message "Loading your
personal settings ...", is displayed for just for a split-second. Then
the message "Logging off ..." is displayed and stays displayed for
some time. Eventually the login window is redisplayed. All accounts,
including the the Administrator account, behave in this manner. Safe
mode also behaves the same way.

What is going on? Can this behavior be fixed?

Thanks,
Zartan2k

Thanks for the pointer -- I shall check it out. For my own edification,
if the cloning completed without error what precisely needs to be
fixed?

Thanks again,

Zatan2k,

apparently the cloning didn't work perfectly, otherwise the
system would now work. It is probably difficult to tell what
went wrong, and I don't know it.

A repair installation may be a good idea.
