Problem with DirectX 9.0c

After applying SP2 to a XP Home PC,

In DxDiag get the message that Direct Draw, Direct 3d acceleration are both
disable & the box is greyed out.

I have an Asrock Motherboard with on board video, (Asrock P4165GV).

I've tried to uninstall Sp2 with out any luck & I can not restore to a
previous date, none listed before I installed SP2.

How do I fix this?
 
On-board video card usually do not have "much" #D acceleration. What video
chip is included with your motherbaord?
 
The motherboard has:Integrated Intel Extreme Graphics 2 (Max 64MB share) &
North Bridge: Intel 865GV, South Bridge: Intel ICH5.

The 3dDraw & 3d acceleration were working before SP2, I know that both
stopped when I installed SP2, a bunch of my daughters games use to work and
now do not.
