Problem With Dial Up Connection

A

Anthony Williams

I live in the country so a Dial Up Connection is the only way I can get
online.
I've noticed that when I am on the net my dial up connection reads "Access:
Local and Internet. Problem is, I'll be surfing along, and all the sudden I
can't load any WebPages or whatnot. I'm still online but I noticed that
instead of reading "Access: Local and Internet" it now reads "Access:
Local." So I disconnect and reconnect and all is well for a while until it
happens again. What's going on here? How do I fix it?

Thanks,
Anthony Williams

Years ago with some dialup connections, the ISP would disconnect you if you
don't do anything for some time or if you were on and doing things for a
certain period of time. Then you would have to reconnect. I haven't used
dialup in many years, so I don't know if this still happens.
