problem with CdRom bad blocks

i keep getting a error message with the Event id 7 /Device/CdRom0 has a bad
block. Is there something i can do to fix this. thanks for the help.

- Try the same CD on a different drive, and
- Try different CDs on the same drive.

The result will tell you if the CD is bad or if
the CD drive is marginal.
 
Or he may have some "guck" on the CD. Clean as per CD maker or
computer instructions.

Good point! It is also possible that the lens on his CD
drive is dirty. He should clean it with a soft cloth.
