New PC with a CD-burner. Computer has that Verio
software. Burns musical CD's fine. Will not burn a data
CD with the software that came with the burner.
I used the XP wizard to burn a data CD. Wizard tells me
it's done, successfully. Nowhere at the end of this
process was the disk "closed" to make it readable on any
pc, which is the goal here. Sure enough, the disk is not
readable on a different computer, but it does read on the
source computer.
I found a "solution" at the Microsoft site. I downloaded
the file, went to execute it, and the machine reported
that the service pac was newer than the file, and it
wouldn't install.
My simple question is how do I close the disk, using XP,
so that the data CD is readable on ANY computer?
Thank you,
Marc
