Problem with Card Bus device

I recently installed a combination USB 2.0 and FireWire
Type II card in my notebook. I installed all the drivers
and software sucessfully, but when I installed the card,
I got a message that read "The device would not start."
When I attached a USB 2.0

Yes. And I also downloaded a fix numbered KB822603, which
was supposed to be useful, but they did not work.
