I have my control panel/power options/alarms set to alert me when battery
power gets to 6% and to give the critical alarm when it gets to 3%. The
problem is that when it gets to 6%, my laptop goes straight into hibernation
until I plug the a/c in and hit the power button How do I corrrect this? If
it helps, here's a screenshot of my Power Options Properties

Also, I can't get Paint and Word to appear in the right click on a file open
with menu. Several weeks ago, the icons for them mysteriously disappeared
from start/programs/accessories even though the exe's were still on my HD and
I had to manually put them back using start/settings/taskbar & start menu as
well as having to reset them as the default for certain filetypes (which
would say "no program associated with this file" when I double clicked them).
When I select "chose program" that works to open the file, but Word and
Paint still won't appear in the initial list of choices

You can get Word and Paint to appear on a right click by doing the following:

1. open Explorer, and select Tools, Folder Options
2. click onthe File Types tab
3. selct the extension for paint/word and click the Change button
4. make select mspaint.exe or msword.exe.

If the association has been deleted you may need to click the New button to
add the extensions.

Thanx, but I just tried that and Paint & Word still won't appear in the
reccomended programs list
