Problem with 98 machines

Joshua

Greetings,

Been trying to solve a problem with 98 machines on my
network and I'm not seeming to get very far. This is a 2K
Native mode domain.

When I go to logon, I get an error message "No domain
server was available to validate your password. You may
not be able to gain access to some network resources."

I click ok, can access exchange just fine, but sure enough
can't access some resources. Any ideas?

Prior to one of my DCs crashing last week (yeah, it ran
the PDC Emu fsmo role =( but the machine is back up)
everything was fine and functional. The only thing that
changed was the DHCP scopes were moved off that server to
another. Everything else is the same.

I tried the DSClient, didn't help.

Thanks,
Joshua

Install Windows Server Support Tools from your Windows Server CD , and run
the command-line based utilities DCDIAG and NETDIAG , and post the result
back.

Pass on everything outside of this with NETDIAG:

[FATAL] At least one of your NetBT names is not
registered properly.
You have a potential name conflict.
Please check that the machine name is
unique.
[WARNING] At least one of the <00> 'WorkStation
Service', <03> 'Messenge
r Service', <20> 'WINS' names is missing.

DCDIAG also please, as you can see there is a few errors in the NETDIAG
results, try to slow them.

You have a potential NetBIOS name conflict.
