Remember, you are the one who put yourself in your current situation by
using an illegal version of Windows XP.

To resolve your problem, you'll need to perform a
"Repair Install" using the new Product Key and the
new Windows XP Pro installation CD that came with it.

The only way to change your illegal "Volume licensed" version of XP Pro is to
do a repair re-install of XP Pro on top of the installed version. This will
change the 'Volume Licensed" version to the legal version you just bought.

BTW: Whenever the version of XP Pro is referred to as "Corporate Edition",
this usually means an illegal pirated version. Microsoft never had a
"Corporate" edition.

Second, Volume Licensed edition do not need "activations" normally.

Why worry about it if it is working? If ever you have problems you
can just reload your system with the new CD....
