Problem while activating Windows

Hi every body

I have this problem, and this is the first time that I have it

When I try to activate Windows, he told me that the product key is invalid,
and this is the third time that I format my Dell Laptop.

The first time: I have been installed Windows XP with Service Pack 1a and he
accept the activate.

The second time: I have been installed Windows XP with Service Pack 2 and he
accept the activate.

The third time: I have been installed Windows XP with Serivce Pack 2 and he
doesn't accept the activate because he told me that the product key is
invalid.

I made an update for my Dell BIOS before I reinstall Windows XP SP2 for the
third time.

Any body can help me to resolve this problem?

Did you update the BIOS with an update from Dell? If not, that's the
problem. In any case, when you got the message that Windows could not
be activated there was an MS telephone number to call. Call that number
and explain what happened. There will be no problem activating then.

Why did you update the BIOS?
