Problem when clicking on cells for a formula

When entering a formula, If I click on a cll to use it excel enters
"Table2514271020344148556269[[#This Row],[Column4]]" followed by the rest of
my formula, It will not enter the cell name e.g. D4

Can anyone help, is this setup thing?

Sounds like you may have the Row/Column reference on.
I'm assuming you are using 2003 or lower.
Go to
Tools > Options > General
unclick the R1C1 reference button.
