Problem w/ Installation of XP

I'm currently working on installation of a PIII system
that meets all the system reqs for XP, and i have been
getting problems with the installation of the OS. During
the initial "blue screen" phase, after loading all the
required elements and is preparing to install windows,
the computer locks up. Actually, this is the case with
all the NT systems that I have tried to install on that
PC. Does anyone know of a cause of the problem and/or a
resolution?

Hi,

If it's all NT systems, then it wouldn't surprise me if it were a hardware
problem. NT systems are much more sensitive to them than are 9x systems. The
ram could be flakey, I'd try swapping them out or reducing it to just one
stick (try each stick separately).
