problem upgrading to xp on dell pc

after upgrading to xp I get this error :Error Code: 0x80070002" Error
Message Cites License-Checking Issue After Upgrade on Dell Computer
I have tried the instructions from microsoft but the settings it tells me to
look for and delete from the registry are not there please help.
 
You may not have the two keys they tell you to delete, but you need to follow the next part of the article, and ensure that each entry under:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Cryptography\Defaults\Provider

Points to the location of your Windows\System32 folder. This is usually C:\Windows\System32, but may vary.
