Problem sync w/ Blackberry on contacts w/ multiple categories

When I sync Outlook 2003 with Blackberry 8700 using the latest (4.1)
blackberry Desktop Manager, contacts with multiple categories are read by
Blackberry but the next time I sync, the space between the categories is
removed (but the comma is still there) thus Outlook read them as one
category (because there is no space?) and combines/changes them in Outlook.
Then I can't have the benefit of multiple categories in Outlook (sorting,
grouping etc). There is a manual override process but I would have to click
a confirm on each contact (I have over 100 with multiple categories) each
time I sync. Any fix or work-around would be appreciated
