Problem Starting Win2K

I had upgraded from winME to win2K, about 5 months ago. My
Computer is set up to boot on either WinME or Win2K. The
WinME has stopped workling, it kept locking up and I tried
to use the ME Restore disc. It didn't work aand now
whenever I Boot up in 2K I get 2 Popups. The first one "An
Application has Attempted to Access the Hard Disk which
cannot be supported." Selecting Ok then brings up the ME
Installation window which locks up. It reads "Setup cannot
run from within Windows2000. Start in MS DOS. How can I
get rid of this problem. Once I hit OK the Computer loads
normally. Can anyone please Help?

Hello,

Try booting to the Recovery Console using your Windows 2000 CD and run
FixMBR and then FIXboot.
Based upon the information provided, I think it is going to be difficult to
recover the ME installation especially with a "recovery disk." If you
successfully use the recovery disk, you will need to run a repair install
of Windows 2000.
