problem starting script through task scheduler in AD 2000

hello,

i have a script working properly that i want to work every night.
when i start it manually it works, when i schedule it via the task
scheduler for 2 minutes later it works, but when i put it for another time
it does
not work anymore. to make it work again i have to put again the password of
the account configured for the script.

but every morning i have the same mistake: task could not start.
and each time it works again only by puting again the password of the user
in the task.

i guess it is a synchronisation problem but i don't know where from.
the script is scheduled on a DC on a windows 2000 active directory (all in
SP4 and with all updates).

any idea ?

thank you in advance.

Scheduled Tasks|Advanced|View Log may provide some details. If the job
connects to another machine you may need to add the user/ group 'logon as
batch job' rights (server side). Control Panel|Admin Tools|Local Security
Policy\Local Policies\User Rights Assignments
"Log on as a batch job"

Remember that if it involves network resources to make sure the user account
has permissions to the resources and also use UNC paths as mapped drives
won't natively exist when no one is logged on.
