Problem signing in to secure server

All of a sudden, I get an error message when trying to log in to Amazon.com
in both the US and the UK.
I can log onto the web site but when I try to sign in using the secure
server, I get an error message. I am then asked to use the standard server
and I can sign in.
This is only happening with Amazon.com.
Any suggestions.
