Problem sending Photos via email using Picture and Fax Viewer

Hi

I have been using the Windows XP Picture and Fax Viewer
for sending pictures. I just noticed now however that
when I go to send a picture or group of pictures I do not
get the box that states do you want to send in original
size or smaller. Before I use to go to the picture right
click on the pix click on 'send to' a box would come up
and ask the size you want to send original or smaller
then your email page would come up. Now when I do it, it
just goes into the email right away and does not give me
the option to make the pictures smaller for emailing even
if the pix is over a meg in size it still goes directly
into the email as an attachment with no option to reduce
it. Anyone know how to get it to bring that box up
again.
System restore is not an option as I have no idea how
long this has been doing it and I add programs etc to my
computer on a daily basis and am not going to start re-
intalling programs after system restore removes them.

Thanks in advance

Try this, maybe it will restore the option:

go to...Start / Run and type:

"REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL"
(without the quotes)(Yes, there's
a space between 2 and S)

Click...OK.

A dialog box should report the following:

"DllRegisterServer in SHIMGVW.DLL succeeded"

back and you got it on the first crack and in record

John i have tried to send pictures via email and have failed. Now when I try
to send I get more added on to send. Each time I send an email it fails and
adds more to send the next time. Is this the problem? How do I get rid of
always getting more than just one photo. Hope you understand.. Thanks Bob

Are you using Outlook Express?

Do you have any problems when sending
regular e-mail messages?

What steps are you taking when you attempt
to send an image in an e-mail message?

Do you receive errors? What are they?

Have you tried opening a new message from
your e-mail program and using the "Attach" button...
to send images? (it looks liks a paper clip)

You don't type in "My Pictures"...what you do is...
Browse to the folder and select the image you
wish to attach.

Try this:

Open Outlook Express...

Left click your "Create Mail" button
to open a New E-mail Message...

Left click the "Attach" button (paper clip)...

On your "Insert Attachment" window...
open your "Look In" drop window...
(left click the little triangle)

Scroll to the folder that contains the
image you wish to attach...

Left click the folder to open it...

Left click the image file you wish to attach...

That should do it.

Wow! This gets involved.

Did you attach more than one image to the
message?

Hotmail? Do you have Outlook Express setup
to access your Hotmail Account? I mean...
can you read and send Hotmail from Outlook
Express or do you access your Hotmail on the
web?

If you go the the Hotmail website and sign in...
do you have messages in your folders that need
to be deleted?

Hi John.. No just one image at a time but each time I send it it tacks
another onto the prvios photos that I already sent making more and more and
more now it is at 15.;;I access hot mail via web thru Net Zero... I
consistantly relive excess e mail in both inbox and junk.. I have seven or so
messages and they are small. Thanks John.. Sorry that I am not good on
computers at the moment.. bob
