Hi all,

I have a decent-sized spreadsheet (about 250 columns by
150 rows) that I'm trying to save as a tab-delimited .txt
file (using Excel 2000). For the majority of rows, most of
the right-most columns are empty.

The problem I'm running into is this: when I save as a tab-
delimited file, some rows in the resulting file do not
contain all of the tab characters delimiting the empty
right-most columns.

Has anyone run into this before? Could it be a cell
formatting thing, or maybe some kind of cell content that
would cause this?

Thanks in advance for any help,

I've never had to do this, but maybe you could put an empty string in those
empty cells.

Select your range
edit|goto|special
blanks
type:
=""
or a single apostrophe (')
and hit ctrl enter.

I like the formula--it's easier to see and it serves as a reminder why I did.

The try it out. (I didn't test this!)

Well, now I did. They both seem to work ok for me.
