Problem Running a Server thru Firewall

I'm trying to run a game server (NWNServer). The server is up to date, and I
created a port using the recommended default from the servers webpage, but,
my server name doesnt appear on the list of servers (thru gamespy) and
personal friends arent even able to direct connect to my IP.

It seems that despite the port I created, my firewall (or some other thing)
is still blocking connection from the internet to the server on my comp.

Any ideas for help?

Hello,

Is your internet connection running through a router?

If so, you will need to do "port forwarding" - start by going to the site
below
http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/routerindex.htm

Yep- my modem is a router, and after read your reply I went thru the
instructions on portforward, but unfortunately it hasn't made any difference.
I still cant have an outside comp connect to the server on mine. Thanks for
the info anyway.

What your Anti-virus application?.
