Problem resizing PowerPoint pages in FrontPage

I'm experimenting with getting documents onto my web pages in FP. I've run
into a problem with bringing in a FP page. I'm bringing in single page
PowerPoint presentations where the visitor can download the document (and all
that works). What I also want to do is place a smaller version of the page
on an "index" page so people can see which image the link is for. (This is
similar to using the auto thumbnail feature for pictures.)

The problem I have is when I copy the picture to the page I want to resize
to a size a little smaller. But since there is text on the PP page it gets
distorted quickly.

I've saved the PP page as jpeg, gif, and other formats and then brought the
document in but in all cases I find resizing creates distortion.

Is there a way to past a PP page to a FP page that is a smaller size than
the original document without distorting things, or do I have to create a
smaller version in PP? (The PP page has drawing objects including text
objects on it.)

(Boy I hope I explained this well...)

Thanks

Tom

There really isn't much you can do and this is not a FP issue. Text will rarely be readable when you
create a thumbnail type image from a screen, etc.

Thanks for the response

I understand that this is not an FP issue but it's only in FP that I've had
need to resize the PP page image.

I'll pop over the the PP side and see if they have any ideas.

Thanks again for responding.

Resize it in a image/graphic application, then import into FP, however you will still have a problem
with the text being readable.

open the ppt and run the slide show, press PrintScr and make a screenshot of
the slide you want e.g. the title slide of the presentation.

Copy & Paste in your image editor, save the image.

Import into your web, then insert the image.

Link it to the ppt file.

But you'll still have trouble reading the text at a "thumbnail size" image
size
