hi,
I joined my laptop to a new domain in a new office, but
discovered that the previous domain is not available to
logon anymore. However, the folder administrator.engineer
is in "my documents and settings" folder. Is there anyway
that I can restore my computer to take on the profile of
administrator.engineer, even though I'm not physically
connected to the old domain?

In the registry, go to
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList
and play with the value for ProfileImagePath.

Messing with the registry might hose your system.
