Problem opening new windows

Hi everyone

I am having problems opening a new window from a link on various websites.
For example, my bank homepage opens with no problems, but when i try and log
on, a new window pops up and remains blank (or shows the original page as a
background). This can sometimes be overcome by stopping and refreshing, but
it is beginning to drive me mad! I've recently downloaded a IE6service patch
and re-loaded windows, with no success. Any ideas would be greatly
appreciated.

Had the same problem. I replaced the oleaut32.dll file
with a previous version, and everything works fine now.

Start...
Run...
type SFC, click OK...
Now you have to extract oleaut32.dll, click browse...
this file is located somewhere, sorry but i can't remember
where right now. It's been a while since i've replaced it
and I've had to replace it several times.

Anyway, this method worked to solve my problem which
sounds just like yours. I hope it's a start. Good Luck.
