When I go to accounts and try to open an account it starts to load "Smart
Sounds Quicktracks Plug in" then it can not find the plug in and asks if i
want to brose for it. When I click cancel it opens the account anyway.
Anyone have any ideas?

Try opening Outlook in the safe mode by going to start > run > outlook /safe
and see if the issue occurs.Look more like an issue with a third party
plugin

"Smart Sounds Quick Tracks Plug in" is for Adobe Premier 6.0 or 6.5. To
disable it;
1. go to Tool and click on Options
2. Click on the Other tab then click on Advance options
3. Click on the Add-In Manager button to see if it is in here, if it is
uncheck it then click on ok. Close and reopen Outlook.
4. If it is not in the Add-In Manger, click on COM Add-Ins and look for it
here. If you find it, uncheck it then click OK. Close and reopen Outlook.

Following your directions "start>run>outlook/safe"
I get an error message saying that it can not find it.
Maybe I am doing it wrong?

Hi

Make sure you are typing Outlook /safe(there has to be a single space
between Outlook and the forward slash). If you still get the same message,
use the browse option in the run window and naviagate to "C:\Program
Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\OUTLOOK.EXE" and then give a space followed
by /safe

Hope this helps

Thanks for the tip. I was able to open Outlook in safe mode but when I try
to open an account it still wants to open a Smart sound plug-in.

If using Outlook /safe works, then try the following:

If you are not using the plug-in, I believe you can remove it in Add/Remove.

Or with all apps closed, go to the following folder and remove everything in
it to the desktop then try again:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\STARTUP

Thanks
I just removed Smart Sound Quicktracks in add/remove and the problem seems
to have gone with it. Now I just hope I did not need it for some other
application.
