Problem logging onto Secure Webs with Home XP

Having problems logging onto Hotmail account and Datek
Account. I'm using Home XP with all updates loaded.
Also using IE 6.0 Have Norton Anti virus pgm but disabled
it...but no help. When I try to log on, the scroll bar
goes half way and stops...eventually I get screen that
says not accessable. Please provide some tips on fixing
this Secure web logon problem. Thanks in advance.
