Problem Installing Vista

I have a Barracuda 7200.11 ST3500320AS SATA HDD and when I try to install
Vista, it gets to the part where it wants you to select a place to install to
but asks for a driver for my HDD. My motherboard is the GIGABYTE GA-P35C-DS3R.

I'm trying to install an OEM version of Vista Ultimate and when I try to
load in my copy of XP Pro it does the install menu where you select a
partition to format, it does that and when you reboot it goes back to that
menu. I'm really not sure what the problem is but I'd really like to get an
OS on the new computer.

The rest of my specs are if it even matters
-Intel E8400 Core 2 Duo 3.0 GHz 45nm
-4GB G-Skill Memory (1GB x4)
-Antec P182 case
-Sony NEC 16x DVD-ROM (IDE)
-Asus 20x DL DVD Burner (SATA)

You need to install drivers for your SATA drive before you select the drive
(otherwise it is not seen) and you should use Vista to format as the NTFS
version is different.
