Problem installing Certificate Services

G

Glen Martin

I'm trying to set up Certificate Services on a SBS 2000
Server (to generate a certificate for using SSL with OWA).
I enter in all the information about company name etc. The
installation process then comes back with an eror ....

An error occured when generating key "<Company Name>" for
the Certificate Services service. Either the CSP
configuration is not complete or the key length is not
supported. Please make sure the CSP is installed
correctly or select another CSP.
An internal error occurred. 0x80090020 (-2146893792).

Anyone come across this before?

Back-up this registry information and remove this registry path

HKEY_USERS\Default\Software\Microsoft\Cryptography\Providers\Type 001

Then restart the server.

Thanks for the quick reply!

A couple of things:

1) The path is ".Default", not just "Default" (no big
deal).

2) The "Cryptography" part of the path does not exist.

Any other suggestions?
